Some people thought I was delulu to leave an award-winning London brand agency and launch this from scratch.

I saw it differently.

When I started hearing how many newly qualified practitioners were struggling to turn their training into a viable business, it struck a nerve. I know what it feels like to invest heavily in changing direction. I poured years of time, energy and money into retraining, only to learn that qualifications alone don’t protect you from making mistakes. That’s why helping people make better decisions before they spend, feels so personal to me.

Aesthetics was a natural fit. I grew up around medicine, have always been fascinated by surgery and cosmetic procedures, and I’m no stranger to a tweakment (or twelve!). I’ve seen first-hand how transformative the right intervention can be. But that’s exactly why the sector deserves care and respect. When treatments become more accessible, the opportunity is enormous, but so is the responsibility; because the wrong treatment can affect far more than someone’s appearance.

I also think the sector deserves much better marketing than the endless beige, before-and-after, “everyone is 25” version it gets. Some of it sails far too close to the wind on advertising rules, and much of it barely reflects the diversity of the people actually buying treatments. I want to help raise the standard: better research, better judgement, stronger compliance, broader representation and marketing that is distinctive because it is relevant.

Octavia's Revenge is my reminder that setbacks don't dictate who you can become.
